La Mallorquina

The Mallorcan is a bakery-cafe located at Puerta del Sol, famous for offering typical pastries since 1894 and being a lively coffee gathering. Its name is due to the Balearic origin of one of its three founders, Juan Ripoll. Our recommendation: go up to the first floor room with a delicious pain au chocolate fresh from the oven and a steaming cup of coffee, and enjoy the views of the always bustling Puerta del Sol.

Mamma Framboise

The first French pastry shop open Madrid. Warmly decorated, here you can enjoy a variety of pastries, cakes, biscuits, chocolates, quiches, sandwiches, salads, all accompanied by a good wine or French champagne. Surrounded by a bustling commercial area, Mamma Framboise is an excellent choice for a relaxed shopping  afternoon with a happy ending!

Mür Café

A cozy cafe located in a lovely square and filled with comfortable couches. The Mür is a place to go to relax, chat with friends, or even read a good book in front of one of their large cups of coffee and a piece of any of their delicious cakes: carrot, blueberries, cheescake, tiramisu, or the original stout cake.

Celicioso (celicious)

You may have guessed it by its name. Indeed, it is a cafe/bakery with products made without gluten. Celiac people know how hard it is to eat out with this problem, so that’s the reason why Celicioso was born,  a place to enjoy good pizzas, delicious cakes or crunchy cookies made without gluten and with similar pricesto those of any bakery or pastry shop that sells products with gluten.

Casa Mira

Casa Mira is a bakery opened in 1842, making it one of the oldest establishments of this type that remain open in Madrid. Luis Mira, its founder, was a confectioner from Jijona, who moved to Madrid to present the high quality of their Christmas sweets. The shop, despite selling other products, is famous for the elaboration and sale of these typical Christmas sweets that today are enjoyed throughout Spain. Do not miss their spectacular showcase full of pastries for every different taste.

San Ginés

If you have heard of madrilian “churros with chocolate”, and have no intention of leaving the town without trying them, this is the place you should go. Open since 1894, there is hardly a celebrity, both nationally and internationally that has not been to San Gines to have a good cup of chocolate accompanied by the mythical churros or porras. Proof of this are the hundreds of photos featuring celebrities like Tina Turner or Bill Clinton, among many others, that cover completely its walls.

La Violeta

The violet candy is a little sweet with 5 petals and only 2 centimeters in size, made from this flower essences and an evocative violet color. They have become a symbol of Madrid, to the point of being the most typical gift when you visit the city. In Spain they are associated with this small confectionery founded in 1915, that still elaborates them in the traditional way. Here you can also find the real flower petals covered in sugar and sold in bulk at a price not affordable for every budget.

Harina

Located right opposite the Retiro Park in Harina (flour) to eat a dessert is an experience full of flavor. With different spaces all decorated in white, pointing up to its name, its success lies in providing home-based bakery with traditional dough and a wide selection of pastries of its own production, baked without any preservatives or dye. We recommend the carrot, chocolate, or caramel cakes, always accompanied by one of their delicious cappuccinos.

Moulin Chocolat

From the hand of renowned pastry chef Ricardo Velez, this magic place specializes in French pastry making and its remarkable for its macarons stuffed with chocolate or custard. But this is only the beginning, because once inside, you will be amazed at the variety of colors, shapes and textures in each of their cakes, cookies and sweets. You MUST try the truffles!

Oriol Balaguer

In this establishment, set as a fine jewelry store where the jewels are its varied cakes and other confectionery, you can taste some of the spectacular creations of this iconic and award-winning pastry chef nicknamed the "architect of gastronomy". Among its best desserts, stands out the “Eight textures cake” or the “Cocoa in two stages”: a chocolate cake covered with fresh raspberries, with a base made of colorful marshmallows. Both of them will leave you speechless.

Fonty

Despite its short time in the food market, Fonty is characterized by the quality of its raw materials and the use of the French cuisine traditional techniques.
